Hot Player: the Aroma IPTV walkthrough
The route for people who would rather not manage credentials at all. Activation is included at no extra cost on plans of twelve months and longer, and it is done for you rather than typed in.
Have these in front of you
- A device that runs Hot Player
- The device identifier shown on the player first screen
- A plan of twelve months or longer, if the activation is to be included
Install Hot Player on the device
Hot Player runs on Android television boxes and on several television platforms. Install it the way you would install anything else on that device: from the store where it is listed, or through Downloader using the code on our apps page. Nothing about this step is specific to us.
Write down the identifier on the first screen
The first time the player opens it shows a device identifier, presented as a MAC address on some builds and as a device key on others, usually alongside a short trial period. That identifier is what a playlist gets attached to, so copy it exactly, including the colons if it is a MAC address.
Send the identifier to support
Message the identifier to us on WhatsApp or through the contact form, together with your order number. This player is activated at our end rather than by typing a username into the app, which is why the step exists at all and why it needs a person at one end of it.
Wait for confirmation, then restart the player
This is the one part of the service that is not automatic, so it is not instant and nothing here will pretend otherwise. When support confirms the activation, close the player completely and open it again. The playlist is read at startup, and a session left running will otherwise keep showing the trial screen.
Check the line before you put the remote down
Open two or three channels from different groups. If the player still shows a trial notice or an empty list after a full restart, send us the identifier again rather than reinstalling. A reinstall can issue a new identifier, and the activation then points at a device that no longer exists.
Quirks of this platform
- Activation is free on plans of twelve months and longer. On shorter plans it is not included, and the Xtream route in any free player costs nothing at all.
- Reinstalling the app can change the device identifier, which detaches the activation. Ask before you reinstall rather than afterwards.
- Write the identifier down somewhere outside the device. It is the only thing that identifies that installation to us.
