Aroma IPTV explained, from payment to picture

Aroma IPTV explained end to end: what a line actually is, how the activation bot builds one, what arrives by mail, and what to do when nothing has arrived.

A subscription is a line, not an app

What you buy from Aroma IPTV is a line on a server rather than a piece of software. Three values describe one: the host your player dials, the username the activation bot created against your ARMA- order, and the password that goes with it. Hanging off those are an expiry date and the list of country blocks that were switched on. Everything else - the app on the television, the icon on the phone, the arrangement of the programme guide - is a viewer sitting in front of that line, and you can change it whenever you like without telling anyone.

That distinction is the most useful thing to hold on to before you start, because it answers most setup questions in advance. If the credentials work in one player that understands Xtream Codes, they will work in another. If they work in none of them, the problem is the line and not the app you happen to be holding.

What the line-up is built around

The catalogue is assembled around Arabic viewing first and international viewing second. That ordering is an editorial decision rather than a slogan: the Arabic groups are the ones checked first when a source misbehaves, and the international groups exist so that a household does not need a second subscription for the rest of the week.

  • Gulf channels, including the Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti and Qatari networks
  • Levantine channels from Lebanon, Syria and Jordan
  • Iraqi channels, kept as their own group rather than folded into a general Arabic list
  • Egyptian drama, film and entertainment channels
  • North African channels from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia
  • International news, sport, film and family groups in English and other languages

Households outside the region are a large share of who this is for. A family in Montreal or Manchester that wants the channels their relatives are watching that same evening is the case the line-up is arranged around, which is also why the groups are filed by country rather than by genre alone.

Xtream Codes, and why there is no portal option

Xtream Codes is the only delivery method on this site. Three values reach you - a host, a username, a password - and any player able to read that trio will sign in with it. Most of them also print the same line as an M3U link: one long URL carrying exactly the subscription those three boxes describe.

There is deliberately no portal route. A portal box is activated by its MAC address rather than by a username, which welds the subscription to one piece of hardware: replace the box and nothing plays until a support ticket has been opened and answered. Credentials move between devices in the time it takes to type them, and for a household running a television, a phone and a tablet that is worth more than the convenience of a box that needs no typing. If you already own hardware that speaks only portal, it will not work here, and that is far better to know before a payment than after one.

What happens between a payment clearing and a line existing

Nobody approves payments by hand. When the gateway reports a payment as settled it calls back to the site, the order is marked paid, and the activation bot builds the line on the panel: it creates the account, applies the months you paid for, switches on the channel groups, and writes the credentials back against your order number.

In practice that is a few minutes. It is not instant, and nothing on this site will claim that it is, because the honest answer depends more on the gateway than on us. A card that clears straight away produces a line within a couple of minutes. A payment held for extra verification produces nothing at all until the hold is released, and no amount of refreshing changes that.

What arrives, and where to look for it

Four things reach you, and they do not all arrive at once:

  • An order confirmation, sent the moment the order is created and therefore before any payment has cleared
  • A set of sign-in details for this site, if this is your first order here, so that you can read the subscription back later
  • The subscription mail itself: server address, username, password, expiry date and the playlist link
  • The same details on the order status page, which updates by itself while you are looking at it

The status page is the more reliable of the two, because mail can be delayed or filtered and a web page cannot. With the order number in hand you can always read the line back from your account rather than waiting on an inbox.

If nothing has arrived after fifteen minutes

Fifteen minutes is the point at which waiting longer stops being useful. Before messaging anyone, look in the spam folder and check the address you typed at checkout, because a single wrong character there is by a wide margin the commonest reason a subscription mail never appears.

After that, send the order number on WhatsApp or through the contact form. The order number on its own is enough: it identifies the payment, the plan and the line without any further detail, and an activation that stopped halfway can be run again against it without charging anything a second time. What does not help is placing another order, which produces a second line and turns a five-minute fix into a refund conversation.

Hot Player, and when it is included

Hot Player is separate software with its own licence, and it is activated by device identifier rather than by username and password. On plans of twelve months or longer that activation is included at no extra charge. On shorter plans it is not, and it is not needed either, because the ordinary credentials work in the free players covered on the setup pages.

Being identifier-based, it needs a message from you containing that identifier and a person at this end to act on it. It is the one part of the service that is not automatic, which is why it is described as taking longer than everything else rather than being folded quietly into the same promise.

What this is not

This is not a broadcaster and does not present itself as one. Channels come and go, a source that is clean in the morning can be poor at nine in the evening, and no honest service in this category will tell you otherwise. What is reasonable to expect is that a line is built when you pay for it, that somebody answers when it stops, and that a renewal extends what you already have instead of starting the whole thing again.

It is also not a free trial wearing a price tag. Every plan on the pricing page is a paid plan of a stated length, and the shortest one exists precisely so that nobody has to commit to a year in order to find out whether the line-up suits the household.

Four questions that arrive before the first evening is over

Can the same line be used on the television and a phone at once? That depends on how many connections your plan carries, which is a property of the line rather than of the app. Two devices sharing a single connection will interrupt each other, and the symptom looks exactly like a stream dropping for no reason.

Does renewing change my username? No. A renewal moves the expiry date on the line you already hold. Nothing on any device needs touching, which is the main argument for renewing a few days early rather than a few days late.

Is a VPN needed? Not for the service to work. Some networks interfere with streaming traffic and a tunnel can route around that, but it also adds a hop and frequently makes buffering worse rather than better. Try without one first and only reach for it if you have a reason.

Why is the programme guide empty, or several hours out? An empty guide is usually a player that has not finished downloading it yet. A shifted guide is almost always the timezone set on the device. Neither is a fault on the line and both are corrected on the device itself.

Put the line on a screen

Where a box or a television named above has yet to be signed in, the pages below take that hardware from the first menu to a channel playing.

Still not right?

Quote the ARMA- number from your order along with the player you are running it in, and somebody here reads both before replying. Where the catalogue lists in full and refuses to start, move the line onto a backup server first - that repair is a one-field edit and it needs no message at all.
